This series of motivational banners was created using themes and colors that demonstrate the scope of natural beauty in North Carolina. 

From the mountain waterfalls, to historic lighthouses on the coast, inspirations abound. 

These banners create a graphic-visual transition from residential to academic activities.  They depict subjects that appeal to children from Kindergarten to grade 12.

I've included some of the comments made by the resident youths
and children from the day the banners were installed.

"Wow, you made that?!"

"Hey, that's cool, Who did that?"

"Do people really come in those colors?"

"Ooh, I like the way the water looks"

"This banner makes me feel really bright when I look at it"

"These things are like art on fabric!"

"Those elephants look like the Friends Of Children Logo"

"Man, check-out that lighthouse, cool!"
